It’s been wonderful to meet so many residents at the five Community Campfires we’ve hosted since December. Thanks for attending and thanks to all our volunteers!
Join us for a Patio Party at the Fish Creek Exchange building (Shawnee Blvd at 6 St SW) on June 10. If you’ve driven by but never stopped in, here’s your chance. The commercial tenants and SECA are teaming up to celebrate Neighbour Day a week early! More details to come.
Plan to attend SECA’s Stampede Festival on June 24, outdoors at South Gate Alliance Church. Bring your friends and family members. We’re preparing breakfast for the first 800 people. It takes 75 volunteers to pull off this fabulous event. If you can volunteer, please contact us.

We are building a 55+ Program Committee and we’re looking for another couple of residents with good ideas and enthusiasm to share.
A new SECA committee is exploring “Placemaking.” We’re keen to transform our public spaces and strengthen the connections between people and these places. Placemaking is a process centred on people and their needs, aspirations, desires, and visions, which relies strongly on community participation. Stay tuned.
It’s time for spring cleaning! Please do your bit to keep our community looking its best. Take a bag with you on your walks to pick up garbage.
