Greetings,
March is the month when the 156 Community Associations (non-profit organizations) and residents across Calgary celebrate Community Awareness Month. I encourage you to check out the related article in this newsletter, with a focus on all that SBHCA does for the residents of Springbank Hill.
SBHCA has been trying to grow its residential and business membership for several years. Our growth in membership is not keeping pace with the growth in households on Springbank Hill. Membership fees are essential in funding what we offer Springbank Hill residents. To stay financially viable, we will need to increase our membership significantly over the next year.
If you are already a SBHCA residential or business member, thank you. In the above-mentioned article, you can find out more about how to become a member. Also, if you are interested in joining the SBHCA board, or volunteering, to focus on the growth of our membership base, please contact me at [email protected].
Thank you to the many volunteers and board members on Springbank Hill who volunteer their time with SBHCA and other organizations to make our community such a great place to live. Your volunteerism does make a difference!
Also please take a minute to check out the photographs in this newsletter, they really capture the beauty and nature of our community. Thank you to everyone who submits photos to us!
“Community is much more than belonging to something; it’ about doing something together that makes belonging matter.†– Brian Solis
