Greetings,
The SBHCA board has updated the SBHCA strategic plan and business plan for January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2028. If you are interested in checking these documents out on our website, please select the following tabs on https://springbankhill.org.
• SBHCA Strategic Plan
• SBHCA Business Plan
SBHCA will be hosting an informal meeting with John Pantazopoulos, our new Ward 6 Councillor, on February 10, 2026, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm via Zoom. There are limited seats, so if you wish to participate, please check out the article in this newsletter.
The SBHCA board is planning to host a few virtual and in-person sessions for residents over the course of the year. We would welcome your input as to what type of sessions you would like to participate in (e.g. discussions about blanket rezoning repeal, traffic, Stoney Trail noise issues, new residents’ meetings etc.). Please share your ideas with us at [email protected].
I would also like to spotlight one of the SBHCA board positions that we are hoping to fill soon – Director of Fundraising. This position will be responsible for:
• Strategic planning and overarching project management for SBHCA fundraising initiatives (e.g. sponsorships, grants, revenue generation).
• Chairing the SBHCA Fundraising committee.
• Researching and applying for applicable grants and fundraising alternatives available to SBHCA.
• Preparing written reports as required for the SBHCA Treasurer to submit to AGLC.
If you, or someone you know, has an interest in this position, please contact me at your earliest convenience.
Enjoy the month of February and everything it has to offer – our beautiful outdoors, Family Day, and Valentine’s Day are just a few examples…
Sincerely,
Shelly Smith
