Got unwanted items cluttering your home? Join us for the Coach Hill/Patterson Heights/West Springs Community Cleanup and Recycling Event.
What You Need to Know
This event is free! However, an optional entry fee of one non-perishable food item or donation to the Calgary Food Bank is encouraged.
The event runs until 2:00 pm sharp – come early!
Don’t forget to thank the fantastic volunteers who make this event possible!
What Items are Accepted
• Furniture (desks, chairs, sofas, old mattresses, etc.), toilets, and recalled or broken recreational products (e.g. treadmills)
• Clothing
• Household goods
• Electronics
• Bikes
• Metal
• This year we are accepting refundable bottles
• In addition, city garbage trucks will dispose of refuse items (no organics).
Not Accepted
• Barbecues, lawnmowers, and large appliances
• Car batteries
• Microwaves
• Glass (windows, tabletops)
• Household appliances with freon (refrigerator, freezer, water coolers)
• Household hazardous waste (chemicals, paint, propane tanks)
• Sod or dirt
• Liquids (e.g. cooking oil)
• Automobile/cleaning/healthcare/gardening chemicals
Household hazardous waste materials can be brought directly to a City of Calgary household hazardous waste drop-off location. Please check calgary.ca for more information.
