Another Thanksgiving hamper program in the books. With your generous support we filled 26 hampers and provided a holiday meal to approximately 135 people in our community.
A huge thanks to everyone that donated and helped deliver, organize, and make it all happen. A big thanks to the WCA office for all of their support. One of our amazing community members Kathy Thirsk donated 25 turkeys to cover the hampers, and the last one was donated by another community member who knew that we might need just one extra.
Last but not least, our mighty crew of community youth. The Woodcreek Sparks packed hampers, and a group of teens delivered more than half the hampers.
On donation day and the days leading up to it we had so many offers of “if you need anything more, please let me know.” This community is amazing and filled with people that will always answer a call to action. I am grateful to be a part of it.
