Happy August Woodcreek Residents!
I hope you’re all enjoying the beautiful summer weather we’ve been having this year and taking advantage of all the wonderful outdoor amenities our community has to offer.
We’ve had a busy summer so far in our community; our annual Stampede Breakfast was very well attended with over 800 attendees. Thank you very much to our sponsors, Woodbine Safeway, Woodbine Shoppers Drug Mart, Gateway Victory Church, ATCO, Braeside Automotive, The Turbines, KFC, Hull Services, as well as the countless volunteers who make this event such a success.
Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets for our 50/50 fundraiser – we raised over $3,200 this year which will be used to purchase a much-needed new sweeper for the ice rink.
The weekly Farm Stand pop-up market is every Monday evening from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the community centre through mid-September. The Good Food Box program returns in August, with orders due by August 14 for pickup on August 23.
We also have our Movie in the Park coming up on Saturday, August 26 where you can watch The Super Mario Bros. Movie under the stars at the community centre.
