Hello Woodcreek!
While we’re in the deep freeze as I write this, I hope things are a bit warmer as you read this. Spring is on the way, and we’d like to thank the many volunteers that made our activities so successful this winter. We’re looking forward to the many exciting events that will be coming this spring.
We have a lot of exciting projects in the works. Keep an eye on the WCA webpage (https://www.woodcreekcommunity.ca/) for when the Community Betterment Project page shows up. You can also order a Good Food box; the next deadline is March 10 for a March 19 pickup. It’s not the season just now, but later in the year you can book a tennis or pickleball court; and you can register for an event and read about the numerous programs on offer in our building.
March is Community Association Awareness Month. Your valuable support allows us to provide many events and programs throughout the year. Memberships can be purchased online or by contacting the office. All residents of Woodcreek with a valid Woodcreek membership by March 31 will be entered into a draw to win a large Good Food Box.
While we await the City announcing the new rules for the Capital Conservation Grant that we have often relied on to fund much of the cost of maintaining our facilities, we are investigating alternative grants and moving forward on plans for changes to the building to continue to make it a desirable event rental.
The next Board meetings are March 4 and May 6.
Keith and Jen
