We are all set for another great year at the community. January is a busy time at the halls, with high school kids from local schools preparing for their diploma exams. Good luck and study hard kids!
Starting January 22, we welcome a new group to the halls every Wednesday evening for some Scottish Dance classes. This is a fun way for singles or couples to get out and get moving. Please contact rscdscalgary.org for more information.
The skating rinks are flooded, and many folks are out enjoying some fresh air and family time. Please remember that you need to purchase a community membership to use the rinks. This year the Glickman family have volunteered their Saturday afternoons to open the rink room and operate the concession. All the revenue generated from concession sales will go back to the community to purchase additional ice maintenance equipment. Way to go, Glickman Family!
Our casino is fast approaching…February 8 and 9. If you can volunteer for a shift or two, please contact me at [email protected]. Our casino will be held at Cash Casino on Blackfoot Trail.
We have recently purchased 15 new rectangular folding tables for the halls. I have 9 of the older tables available for sale at $10 each. The tables are 6’ long and are perfect for indoor/outdoor use. Please contact me if you would like to buy one or more.
