Century Hall Reopening Plan

Remaining diligent with regards to physical distancing, handwashing, along with following the Cranston RA policies and procedures will be important to ensure the health and safety of all residents and staff.

Please note that Cranston Residents Association is closely monitoring developments related to COVID-19 and following guidelines from local health authorities. The health and safety of our residents, program participants, staff, and instructors are the highest importance to the Cranston Residents Association. As information, regulations, and bylaws are continually updated, some changes and/or cancellations to our planned facility availability, hours, scheduled programs, events, or facility rentals may be necessary. Fall Programs

Although fall programs have begun, we have a variety of adult classes that you can drop into.  All one-time drop-ins are $18.00 per class. Adult classes run between September 21 and December 11, 2020.

Tai Chi

Monday, 1:05 to 1:55 pm

11 classes, Exception Date – October 12

Tai Chi is a Chinese martial arts practice used for defense training, health benefits, and meditation. All levels are welcome.

Gentle Yoga for Healthy Aging

Tuesday, 1:10 to 2:00 pm

12 classes

This class provides a gentle introduction to the basic principles and practices of yoga. This class is perfect for maintaining good health and fitness. Participants must bring their own yoga props including 2 yoga blocks, 1 yoga mat, 1 yoga strap, and a blanket. A yoga bolster is optional.

Yoga Level 1-2

Tuesday, 6:30 to 7:20 pm

12 classes

Experience and explore your yoga postures to promote strength, flexibility, and balance. Participants must bring their own yoga props including 2 yoga blocks, 1 yoga mat, 1 yoga strap, and a blanket. A yoga bolster is optional.

Yoga for Beginners and Beyond

Tuesday, 5:30 to 6:20 pm 12 classes

Iyengar Style Yoga teaches students to become aware of their body and mind; using sequencing of postures (asanas) and breath to balance the body. Participants must bring their own yoga props including 2 yoga blocks, 1 yoga mat, 1 yoga strap, and a blanket. A yoga bolster is optional.

Kickboxing

Friday, 6:00 to 7:00 pm

11 classes

Exception Dates – October 30 and November 20

This class incorporates all the best elements of Kickboxing into an amazing full body workout! All levels are welcome! Participants must bring their own boxing gloves.

Bodyshred/ Tot Play

Friday, 9:15 to 10:00 am

11 classes

Exception Date – October 30

No Sitter- No problem! Bring the kids to play in the gym alongside you while you work out! This class is high-intensity and endurance based.

The Cranston Residents Association is closely monitoring developments related to COVID-19 and following guidelines from local health authorities. The health and safety of our residents, program participants, staff and instructors are the highest importance to the Cranston Residents Association.  Therefore, we have implemented various precautions for our fall Session. Please refer to the Fall 2020 Program Guide for a full list of the Cranston Resident Association COVID-19 Program Guidelines.

Annual General Meeting

Cranston Residents Association Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Tuesday, October 20 at 7:00 pm at Century Hall, 11 Cranarch Road SE.

AGM packages will be emailed or mailed to property owners the first week of October.  If you wish to receive a mailed copy, please contact us at 403-781-6614 or [email protected].

Information around the details of how the meeting will be executed will be sent out with the AGM packages or on our website the first week of October.  Currently, there is vacancy for three (3) Resident Directors.

Cranston’s Circus Cemetery

Plan for Century Hall to be your first stop on your Trick or Treating journey this Halloween. Join us on Saturday, October 31, 2020 for Cranston’s Circus Cemetery Haunted House. Family-friendly scares will take place from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. The dead will rise at 5:15 to 6:15 pm.

Cohorts will proceed through Century Hall doors with staggered entry. Groups will enter on a first come first serve basis. A cohort will be inside the Circus Cemetery for approximately three to five minutes. Dressed-up participants will receive a surprise bag when exiting.
