With the COVID-19 pandemic, activity at the MLCA Hall has been lower this fall than usual for this time of year. Nonetheless, we are making progress in restoring operations and in adjusting to the current rules and restrictions.

We are also seeing the return of some of our long-term renters. It is great to have them back! Programs are running and we are seeing more and more activity at the Hall. Our team has done an incredible job of talking about the ways to protect each other during these times, while still having fun social events. We are looking forward to hosting MLCA operated events in the near future.

This year we have several Board Members stepping down from active roles. I cannot thank them enough for their incredible contributions to the MLCA and the greater community. Without the great volunteers in our community and city, we would not be in the place we are today. Below you will see a list of volunteers that the MLCA was honored to have the years of service and experience of our great community.

The MLCA Annual General Meeting was held on Monday, October 25 and we acknowledged the contribution of board members who completed their service and we elected new board members. Thanks to Doug Fraser (7 years), Paije McGrath (1 year), James Williamson (4 years), Christine Mihaliledes (4 years), Spencer Bajnok (3 years), Dom Dow (4 years), MacKenzie Kroeger (4 years), Jen Pouliotte (2 years), and Graydon Tranquilla (2 years).

I look forward to your comments and questions and we continue the great tradition of community engagement and involvement. Please feel free to contact me at [email protected].
