MacEwan Glen Community Demographics
In the City of Calgary’s 2012 municipal census, MacEwan Glen had a population of 5,100 living in 1,781 dwellings, a -0.7% increase from its 2011 population of 5,138. With a land area of 1.4 km2 (0.54 sq mi), it had a population density of 3,640/km2 (9,400/sq mi) in 2012. Residents in this community had a median household income of $74,045 in 2000, and there were 9.7% low income residents living in the neighborhood. As of 2000, 20.5% of the residents were immigrants. 9.1% of the housing was used for renting, 30.6% of the buildings were condominiums or apartments, and 44.1% of the housing was used for renting.
