Greetings!
This month I will be keeping my message brief. We just ended our fiscal year-end on August 31, and the focus of our board is on the completion and approval of our business plan and budget for the next fiscal year which commences on September 1. We are also preparing for our Annual General Meeting of our members which will take place in the Summit Room of Rundle College at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 29. Our bylaws require that the membership review and approve our year-end financial statements and the election of board members for the new fiscal year. Please note this date on your calendars and stay tuned for more details regarding our AGM – we hope to see many community members in attendance.
As summer winds down and we start getting into the fall season, if you haven’t visited our farm stand you should consider dropping by to check out the offering and perhaps pick up some seasonal fruits and vegetables. The farm stand is hosted by FreshPal Farms every Saturday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm in the Valleyview Church parking lot and will continue into the fall for a little while longer. Also as mentioned further in this newsletter, with school starting up again we’d like to remind community members to be aware as they are driving for our student pedestrians, especially near our area schools.
