The Thorncliffe – Greenview community association is extremely active. Over the years,the membership has worked hard to build one of the largest Community centers of its kind in the City of Calgary. Today, the center is primarly used by the members for recreational, cultural and social activities. The membership is pleased to extend an invitation to the general public to use their facilities, when available.
Thorncliffe Community Demographics
In the City of Calgary’s 2012 municipal census, Thorncliffe had a population of 8,693 living in 3,858 dwellings, a 0.6% increase from its 2011 population of 8,640. With a land area of 3.3 km2 (1.3 sq mi), it had a population density of 2,630/km2 (6,820/sq mi) in 2012. Residents in this community had a median household income of $50,009 in 2000, and there were 20.8% low income residents living in the neighborhood. As of 2000, 18.8% of the residents were immigrants.
