Winter has come! Bring out the cozy sweaters and fuzzy socks! Even as the temperatures drop, Queen E is busy.

On November 8th, we will hold our Remembrance Day ceremonies. We welcome community members to attend. It will be held in our Senior Gymnasium. There will be two ceremonies to accommodate our staff, student and community members. We are always very proud of our students at this ceremony both for their creative ways of honouring our fallen and, for their respectful attention as audience members.

Mid-semester report cards for Senior High students will be online on November 8th. Parents, please check Power School to see your student’s progress and teachers’ comments. Subsequent parent/teacher/student conferences will be held Thursday, November 21st from 4-8pm and again on Friday November 22nd from 8am to 12pm.

This month our Junior High Debate Team is scheduled to host a city-wide tournament. We thank all staff, student volunteers and parents who keep the art of conversation and persuasion alive at Queen E.

Queen E’s Senior High School Concert Band and Jazz Band Concert will host a concert on November 20th at 6pm in the Senior Gym. Come in from the cold and listen to some happening cats!

Toward the end of November, the 2020 Grad Committee will be selling poinsettias and beautiful floral arrangements for the holiday season. All proceeds will go to this year’s Graduation celebrations. Please contact Bri Bishop at [email protected] for further information.

Finally, please join us for our Open House on Monday December 9th from 6-8pm. Come see our neighbourhood gem of a school!
