On June 13, 2020, The City of Calgary experienced a hailstorm that caused over a billion dollars in property damage. The City is offering the 2020 Property Tax Hailstorm Relief Program to assist residential property owners who have been impacted by this hailstorm.
The 2020 Property Tax Hailstorm Relief Program is for residential property owners who have been affected by the June 13, 2020, hailstorm. Applicants can apply for one of the following options:
- To defer the 2020 property tax until December 31, 2021, without penalties for those property owners who have not paid their 2020 property tax.
- Apply for the preliminary intake to defer the 2021 property tax until December 31, 2021, without penalties for those property owners who anticipate they may face difficulty in paying their 2021 property tax.

Applications will be accepted from November 26, 2020, to March 31, 2021.
