Creekfest – Your Local Park’s Day Event!

Saturday, July 20 11:00 am – 4:00 pm – Bow Valley Ranch, Fish Creek Provincial Park

Creekfest is free and fun for the whole family! Creekfest is an important component to the Friends’ Watershed Public Awareness campaign, designed to raise awareness within local communities about preserving and protecting our local watersheds, and to strengthen our message of environmental conservation. We are pleased to welcome local children’s performers Rattle and Strum to Creekfest for the first time this year, as well as Bud Edgar, Joker and Trick Roper; and Sheila Edgar, Ventriloquist and Trick Roper! Michelle and Peter, the Juggling Clowns will return to Creekfest and there will be a variety of interactive games and activities by community-minded organizations, as well as exciting draws and refreshments. Family Birding Course

Sundays, 9:00 am – 11:00 am, June 2, 9 and 23

Do you have young children and would like to introduce them to the world of birds and nature by exploring Fish Creek? The Family Birding Course presented by the Friends of Fish Creek and Nature Calgary will engage beginning birders and families in the joy of birding, provide interesting bird facts and teach basic bird identification skills for common species. This course is perfect for children between the ages of 4 to 8 years of age, and there is a limit of 20 children. Registration required and fees apply. Wellness in Fish Creek

Relax, unwind and rejuvenate body, mind and spirit in the beautiful natural setting of Fish Creek Provincial Park this Summer. Wellness Kick-off week runs June 17 – 20 at the Bow Valley Ranch. Yoga sessions will take place on Tuesday evenings. Meditate on Thursday nights and try Spring Forest Qi-Gong on Wednesdays. New for summer 2019, we are pleased to offer exciting Wellness workshops – Grief, Nature and Meditation; Canine Meditation and Rainbow Wellness on July 13.
