Since 2021, the HVCA’s H2 Spaces team has been fundraising to rebuild the playground (also referred to as the Duck Pond) off of Hidden Circle/Hidden Valley Heights. From bakes sales to bottle drives, grant funding support from Parks Foundation Calgary, a monetary contribution from the City and the generous donations from residents, we have now raised 50% of the total project costs to-date. What’s next? We have applied for a Small Stream Community Facility Enhancement Grant with the Government of Alberta. If successful, then we will have reached our total project cost of $160k+ and this park space can be revitalized this fall. Stay tuned for further updates this August.
