MCA Festive Market

We are so honoured to have such a creative assortment of makers in our midst! Join them, and us, and a full row of representatives from our in-house anchor tenants, karate and martial arts, rhythmic gymnastics, inline skating, survival skills. We will also have people from some of our neighbourhood partners to share their programming offerings. Saturday, December 7 at the MCA centre, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Montgomery’s 60th Birthday Party
December 14
Join us as we celebrate our community’s anniversary! A little live music, a little dancing, a little skating, a few memories and stories shared, a lot of fun! Let there be cake! Check our website, Facebook and Instagram pages and postings for details, but do plan on joining us, 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, December 14 at the MCA centre.
Santa Jam!
December 27
Friday, December 27, 7:00 to 11:00 pm, join us at the MCA centre for our first annual (of many maybe?) live music jams that Santa, the Missus, and the barn dwelling Venison kids would be proud to sit in on. All ages, elders and littles, bring ’em! Bring a dollar store Santa hat for our group hug photo op(s), wear red and white if you are heading to our stage to play, and yes, your beat up old tacky seasonal sweater and/or your brand-new festive pyjamas are our designated “dress code” for the eve. There is nothing like the “warm and fuzzy” caused by dancing in flannel and fleece with friends and family!
Next Day Acoustic Senior Santa Jam!
December 28
We are going to leave the stage and sound gear up overnight for the last MCA Social Seniors Club potluck brunch of the year. Imagine a campfire, and your new nephew in law surprises everyone with his six-string plucking, your way cool niece shows off her singing voice, and gramps shares his new djembe percussion skills! It is a potluck format, bring us something yummy to break bread with, and we will do the same. Yes, you are permitted to wear that awful festive sweater one more time before it is thankfully stored. Sixty plus? Celebrate the milestone with us! Drop by Saturday, December 28, 11:00 am to 3:00 pm for some deelish brunch, fun games, singalongs, and Santa-sized seasonal hugs!
Big Band Ballroom Night at the MCA Centre

We had to postpone a pair of big band nights this winter, but we are bringing you a sweetheart of an evening in a couple months. Join us for some ballroom mentoring, and a live big band to dance to through the evening! February 15 at the MCA centre.
