April.
Spring. Rebirth. Beginnings. Fresh starts. Finally getting around to those
pesky New Year’s resolutions. Whadevah. All those things. At once!
Watching
the Membership module of our community software go “boom” with the registration
for the Community Garden.
Trying
hard to choose Canadian created tools, implements and the organics themselves
for my own garden.
Seeing
our Centre’s Sunday afternoon bookings grow for themed birthdays for your
littles.
Forcefully
creating, not just planning, more time with family and friends in the sunshine.
Attending
tastings for various caterers who want to utilize our Centre for events.
Reading
as the plans unfold for several outdoor weekend events at the MCA Centre this
summer, hosted by both renters and ourselves.
Playfully
jostling with familiar faces at the garden centre seed counter.
Watching
the long slow wingbeats of the big migratory birds return, noisily sharing
their winter travel stories.
Chocolate
bunnies. Ears bitten off first, naturally.
Purposefully
seeking out childhood friends for a night out and overdue catch up on each
other’s lives.
Meeting
for a patio lunch with a dozen other CA facility managers to network, share,
learn… and yes, grow.
The
CCAG Art Show is at the MCA Centre April 18. Jenny Allen returns with her wit
and minstrel’s wisdom to the Seniors Brunch April 25, followed by a Klub Sober
Glow Dance later that eve.
Celebrate
some “hallmark card” holidays this month! April is International Guitar Month,
Lawn and Garden Month, and Stress Awareness Month. April 14 is International
Moment of Laughter Day, April 16 is National Librarian Day, April 18 is
Newspaper Columnists Day, April 23 is Take a Chance Day, April 27 is Tell a
Story Day, and April 30 is National Honesty Day. April is National Humour
Month, Garlic Month, and Grilled Cheese Month (Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day is
April 12). National Picnic Day is on April 23.
But
mostly, April is your month of Spring days. “Fresh Starts for You and Me”
Month.
