President’s Message
Although it’s March, we all know that spring is just around the corner. Having survived another water burst and repair back in January, we’re hoping that all is well back to normal while the city continues to improve water infrastructure as we speak. In talks with councilmen of the area, we understand that the city has fast tracked much better planning and execution on current and new water systems. That all said, please conserve as you can going into the spring gardening and growth season.
The AGM is still being planned as we prepare for this issue thus, I cannot report on any activity up to and including the day, February 20. However, we’re anticipating a great turn out and action plans for this term. For the term, March 2026 going forward, we’ve planned on some business executables, more outward looking events for the community and hopeful expansion of our oversight on many fronts. For example, we’re still looking at a second garden and hopefully this year, those plans will be realized with tangibles. As well, we’re hosting a Great Big Picnic once again tentatively held August 15 this year. We’re expanding on that with children’s activities, more chairs, food, and fun amongst the music we’ll have. Keep your eyes on the updates for those!
Additionally, we’re looking forward to getting even more events such as birthdays and weddings booked into the hall giving us a more complete appeal to the public. We have many events planned already from solstice events to hosting neighbourhood cleanups and hopefully garage sales! So, stay tuned.
We’re always looking for volunteers and great minds in our community to give us ideas, help out, and even participate in our events together. Please engage with us and you’ll find, we’re full of great community outreach. Until next time, let’s integrate our community even more tightly together and we’ll be in touch for the next issue. All the best!
