Because I know too many folks. Because we have not shared many memory moments yet. Because I am forgetful, I am human… I am male (lol). We have all been there, trying hard to remember someone’s moniker, and calling them the wrong name. And then we want to disappear.
Give yourself the room to make an oops. It’s okay. Seriously, it’s okay.
Own it. Being honest makes the situation as tiny as it actually is, and your truthfulness will normalize it for both of you.
Giggle. Seriously, laugh out loud. When we can honestly, openly laugh at each of our small mistakes, it does make us more likable, approachable and, let’s be honest… relatable… to each other.
