So far this year, the Ranchlands Food Pantry has filled 70 hampers for 35 households. This program is made possible due to amazing neighbours helping neighbours. The Ranchlands Food Pantry could not exist without the generosity of donations and the time that Ranchlanders give to the program.

Food Pantry Volunteer Coordinator
This role requires exceptional organizational skills. You will create, manage, and coordinate the monthly volunteer schedule, and write updates for the monthly RoundUp community newsletter to advertise any vacant volunteer roles. As the primary contact for Food Pantry Volunteers, you will handle shift scheduling and coordinate onboarding shifts between established volunteers and new volunteers, ensuring a mutually convenient time for them to meet when the main hall at the community association building is not in use. The time commitment is roughly three hours monthly, and this role can be done remotely from the comfort of your home. However, training will involve shadowing shifts for all volunteer roles (occurs on Mondays from 3:00 to 5:30 pm and Tuesdays from 3:00 to 4:30 pm) at least twice to understand the program and various positions.
Hamper Drop-off Driver
We are seeking a reliable individual for this weekly volunteer role, which involves picking up completed hampers from the Ranchlands Food Pantry (7713 Ranchview Drive NW) on Monday evenings (or Tuesday evenings if Monday is a statutory holiday) and dropping them off at the doorsteps of Ranchlanders who have requested a hamper. Drop-offs are contactless. You must be available on Monday evenings (or Tuesday if Monday is a holiday) from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. We average one to two drop-offs per week, all within the Ranchlands community.
