We’re excited to share fantastic news with our Ranchlands community! The Ranchlands Community Association has secured a grant from Calgary Arts Development to fund an outdoor mural on our community association building. This project aims to capture the unique spirit of Ranchlands and create a visual masterpiece that reflects our vibrant community.
The mural theme, ‘Explore stories of your community,’ aligns with our goal of fostering pride and a sense of identity among Ranchlands residents. We want your input and ideas to shape this incredible project. All community members, including students from Ranchlands School and St. Rita School, are invited to share their perspectives on what makes our community unique. Send your ideas, thoughts, and suggestions to [email protected].
Once completed and installed on the west side of the Ranchlands community association building, the mural will celebrate our community and enhance the aesthetic appeal of our association building. The project, starting early in 2024, will culminate with the mural’s completion and installation by October 2024.
Local Calgary artist, Julian Lee will bring our vision to life. The Ranchlands community association board will oversee the maintenance plan to ensure the mural’s longevity.
We appreciate the support of Calgary Arts Development and can’t wait to embark on this artistic adventure together. Share your ideas and be part of the journey!
