Welcome 2026! Here’s To An Event-Filled Year…With Your Help

Hello Sage Hillians,

2025 was a year of transition for your Sage Hill Community Association (SHCA). With our long-standing President stepping down and only a handful of members and Directors remaining, the association came close to dissolving. Instead, we chose to rebuild…and we’re making it happen.

In just one year, we’ve welcomed nearly 100 new members to our growing community association. Looking ahead to 2026, we’re excited about the possibilities: events, contests, and new opportunities to bring neighbours together. One of our big goals is to launch a Community Discount Card. As I settle into my new role as President, I’ve learned that the City of Calgary offers a wide range of grants to support community events, equipment, and programs. We’d love to take full advantage of these opportunities—but to do that, we need you!

Sage Hill is made up of multiple HOAs, large apartment communities, business districts, open fields, and a ravine with homes to the east of it – we see you there. The one thing that represents all of us is the SHCA. This is our chance to come together, support one another, and strengthen the sense of community we all share.

We currently have a small but diverse group of Directors, and we would love to see that diversity grow. More voices mean more ideas—and more events that reflect and impact as many Sage Hillians as possible.

The SHCA is here for you. Our goal is to bring this community to life through fun, inclusive events for all ages. As someone who has lived in Sage Hill since its inception, I want to feel proud of this neighbourhood, to meet more of my neighbours, and to help foster the community spirit that brings us together. To achieve this, we need your support.

Joining the board doesn’t require a huge time commitment—your involvement can be as much or as little as your schedule allows. Simply showing up demonstrates your investment in the community. Personally, being part of the board has been a refreshing break from the daily grind and a rewarding way to give back to a neighbourhood that gives so much in return.

Here’s to the SHCA continuing to grow, and to all our current and future members enjoying a fun-filled, community-driven year ahead. A heartfelt thank you to Annie, Lori, Roxane, and Uzma for your dedication, care, and community spirit.

Let’s make 2026 a year to remember—together.
