By now, work will be underway in the greenspace at Tuxedo Park, and along many of the streets in our community. A temporary inconvenience, these works will greatly improve local flooding experienced by community members during significant rain events. Watch for notices from the City on pending work that may result in street closures. Next spring and summer, we will see the greenspace return and new playground amenities added south of the current playground.
In the meantime, come and enjoy our new pop-up space at the Tuxedo Park School (200 28 Ave NE). I’d like to thank all the volunteers that pulled this together, and the community members who came out to add the exciting artwork. It’s nice to see what a little colour and imagination can do!
Volunteers
We are always looking for volunteers! TCPA events and advocacy efforts wouldn’t be possible without volunteers like you. Here are a few exciting opportunities we are currently recruiting for:
- Santa Breakfast in December: Volunteers to help plan, organize, and deliver the event.
- Development Committee Members: Are you passionate about planning and transportation? Come join our planning committee!
- Social Media Volunteers: Do you love sharing community happenings? Do you have experience with Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram? Consider volunteering on our communications committee! Commitment is approximately one to two hours a week. Email [email protected] for more info or to apply.
