John Alexander “Jack” Brackman

Our sincere condolences to Jack Brackman’s family. Jack and Jerry (his loving wife of 69 years) raised their four children, Kurt, Cindy, Keith, and Cal, here in Acadia. Jack was very active in the community for many years and was president of the Acadia Community Association from 1977 to 1979. He was part of the group that was the driving force that initiated the construction of the Acadia Recreation Complex. He was a great supporter of all the activities of the association within the community. Jack had a charismatic personality and was loved by everyone he met! His sense of humour was amazing as he kept us all laughing no matter what was happening.
Jack will be greatly missed by his entire family, including his six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by his many friends, especially those he shared his life with in Acadia.
Rest in peace, Jack. We have lost one of the best.
