We are off to a great start this fall with the events we’ve already hosted this season. Stay tuned for more as we gear up for the rest of the year.

Movie in the Park – Recap

What a warm welcome we received at our inaugural Movie in the Park event. We watched The Mitchells vs. The Machines, which was a huge family hit for all those who attended. We want to thank all of you who made it out. This will certainly be a staple annual event, so we hope everyone is looking forward to next year! Thanks to Justyna Jakimowicz of Royal LePage Real Estate for donating items to the movie night prize pack for our lucky winner. What a great evening and event to bring the community together!

ACA Social Night Recap

How refreshing it was to see the faces of our residents after the summer hiatus. We appreciate you coming to build relationships and getting to know the fellow people of this wonderful community. We will be hosting another one in November, so look out for those dates in the next Newsletter. See you at the next one!

Annual General Meeting Recap

Another fiscal year has come and gone as we wrapped up with the AGM. We are so thankful for all our dedicated Acadia Community Association members and residents who attended the AGM last month. We heard reports from the respective ACA board members and ARC about how this past year went, as well as elected executives and board of directors to join the team. We also delved into the ACA’s new five-year strategic plan, which is going to set the trajectory for the work we do in the community over the next couple of years. Stay tuned for more information on the website and view the full reports at www.acadia.community/agm.

SouthYeast BrewFest – October 19

It’s back again! Our favourite adult only event of the season. Come out to find an assortment of beers of your choosing provided by our five local craft breweries. From 2:00 to 6:00 pm at the Arc. There will be snacks, games, music, and raffles. You won’t want to miss this one!

New Recreation Coordinator at the ARC

The ARC has welcomed a new Recreation Coordinator who will introduce exciting and engaging programs and events for all age groups. We eagerly await input from the Acadia Community on the programs they wish to see at the ARC. We are thrilled about the new initiatives the ARC is embracing.
