Hello Residents,

We are continuously monitoring and evaluating COVID-19 developments. We will be following the advice of Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, and aligning with the City of Calgary Recreation Centres, in terms of when we will open again.

We will continue to complete community maintenance, maintain the facility, and staff will be working to facilitate day to day operations including bookkeeping functions, and planning programming so we are prepared once we reopen.

Programs and Room Rentals

We have made the tough decision to cancel our Spring programs that were scheduled to begin the week of April 14th. If you are registered in an upcoming program, you will be receiving an email from our team in the next week regarding your refund.

Room rentals scheduled until April 30 will be cancelled. If your booking falls outside of this time frame, we will not be contacting you at this time; however, as the situation continues to evolve, please be prepared that room rentals beyond April 30 may still be cancelled.

Annual Fee Payments

We’ve received a few questions regarding the annual RA fees because of the facility closure. While the building can’t be accessed by residents at this time, as a Residents Association we have obligations to consider and manage as this situation remains fluid. We continue to assess the business, including financial operations, but it is too early in this public health event to know the total impacts. Our fiscal responsibility to the community is to ensure the long-term financial health of the non-profit association funded by you, the residents.

In recognition of these unprecedented events, the deadline to pay Annual Resident Association Annual Fees has been extended to June 1st, 2020. Thank you to those of you who have already paid. To limit social gathering, we have provided multiple ways to pay – online, by mail, over the phone or email transfer. Please visit https://cranstonra.ca/membership-online-payments/ for more details. Additionally, we do offer payment plans for anyone who wishes to make such arrangements. Please contact us at [email protected]. Once it’s safe to re-open, residents will then be welcome to pay in-person at Century Hall and visit us then.

Thank you to our residents for your commitment to our community. Together, we will get through these extraordinary circumstances. We will continue to provide updates as they become available. We greatly appreciate your understanding and support during this time. If you have any questions, please reach out to [email protected] or 403-781-6614.

Thank you,

Jenny Miron
