Vice-President’s
Message

Hello
Fairview,

As
the snow disappears and the days get longer, Fairview is shifting gears. We’re
moving from winter skates into what is always one of the busiest and most
exciting times of the year for our neighbourhood!

First,
we want to extend a massive thank you to our Rink Master, Jason, and the
dedicated team of volunteers who kept the outdoor rink running this winter.
Mother Nature was not very cooperative this season, with warm spells that made
ice maintenance challenging. Despite that, Jason stuck with it and worked hard
to make the rink the best it could be, helping create a space where neighbours
could gather and enjoy the season.

Now,
as the snow melts, we are preparing for several upcoming spring events
including our Spring Community Clean-Up/Spring Fling, Community Bottle Drive,
and our Annual General Meeting (AGM). Planning is also beginning for summer and
fall events like Movie in the Park.

With
the change in seasons comes a significant increase in the association’s
workload. Currently, a very small group of volunteers is managing the bulk of
the planning and execution for these events.

We
could really use a hand. Even if you only have two or three hours to spare at a
single event, it makes a world of difference. If you’ve ever thought about
getting involved, there is no better time than right now to step in and support
the community we all love.

Thank
you for your continued support.

Wayne
