Hey everyone, I hope you all had a good break and a great time over the holidays! It was great to see so many people out skating over the holidays.
We had a bit of a rough start with the ice this year but thanks to a couple extra loads of water on short notice from Big Rock Water and some cooperating weather we have a great rink this year!
Thank you to everyone that’s helped clear snow off the rinks and patch when needed. Remember when we have warmer weather to not leave anything on the ice and to stay off the ice if the ice making sign is out. We’ll need to do a couple floods as a community to upkeep the ice. As the weather fluctuates, and the rinks get more use the surfaces get cracks and small holes. Thank you to everyone that volunteers to help with flooding and pushing our “Zamboni” on the ice. You’re greatly appreciated!
Let’s continue to take care of the rinks and enjoy the winter. It’s been an awesome year so far and we’ll continue to keep up the fun winter activities. See you on the ice!
