What a perfect way to celebrate our 65th anniversary! Saturday, September 13 was bright, sunny, and absolutely ideal for our 2025 Fall Family Festival and Movie in the Park double feature at Flavelle Park. Several hundred people joined us for a memorable day and evening of fun!
Event Highlights
• Big Screen Fun: The Fresh Air Cinema Daylight Digital Screen and sound system were fantastic, keeping the energy up all afternoon with great tunes. The screen was incredibly bright and clear—visible from everywhere in the park, even in full sun!
• The Features: We enjoyed a fantastic double feature with How to Train Your Dragon and Mission Impossible – Final Reckoning.
• Active Entertainment: Orbit’s Bouncy Houses were packed, and the kids loved playing in the Gaga Ball pit until well after sunset! (Glow-in-the-dark Gaga Ball next year, perhaps?)
• Sweet and Savoury Treats: Thank you to local businesses Olde Fair Popcorn and Jerylle’s Ice Cream for delighting all ages with delicious snacks.
• Magic and Smiles: Magicus, the Balloon Twisting, Comedic Magician, kept a long line of kids entertained with his skills.
• Community Spirit: It was great to see everyone reminiscing at our 65th anniversary photo display, and celebrating with cake, hot dogs, and chips! The Seed and Plant Swap organized by Alicia Davis was also very popular.
