The Lake Bonavista Community Association is thrilled to unveil its new brand identity.
Since 1970, the Lake Bonavista Community Association (LBCA) has been a staple in south Calgary, enhancing the lives of Calgarians through a variety of programs, events, and activities. Over the years, the LBCA has welcomed guests from all walks of life for drop-in activities, seasonal programs, hockey games, figure skating, fitness classes, day camps, and more. But, after more than 50+ years in operation, it is time to refresh the brand identity.
“The LBCA is thrilled to launch our new brand identity. The fresh new look reflects a welcoming recreational facility that offers a full spectrum of activities, educational programs, and events,” says General Manager Andrea Waara.
“Our goal is to deliver outstanding customer service that makes the LBCA a standout for enjoyable health and wellness opportunities in Calgary. While the LBCA facility does live in the community of Lake Bonavista, we want to be clear; our programs, events and activities are open to all, and you don’t have to live in Lake Bonavista to participate!”
With this in mind, the LBCA team worked through a series of in-depth workshops with local Brand Strategist and Designer, Brendan Mudryk. With the support of the Board of Directors, a new look was established to represent the organization’s focus on fostering a sense of belonging that continues to make the LBCA a trusted community hub for health and wellness activities while staying true to the grassroots of Lake Bonavista.
So, what’s next? A new logo and tagline!
The LBCA’s existing sailboat and lake logo has been redesigned. The new, inviting look includes fresh, vibrant colours, and shapes representing connection and people coming together.
So, grab your skates, pickleball rackets, or basketball shoes, and drop by the LBCA to “Join the Fun!”
