Well Legacy, February is upon us. That means the first CLCA event of the year is just around the corner. February 17 marks the CLCA Family Skate event we put on with music, a fire pit, snacks, and more. We hope you get the chance to come visit with us and enjoy the event.
We also wanted to let you know about an exciting membership drive we are doing this month. Partnering with many local businesses, we are donating $5 from every membership sold this month to the Canadian Mental Health Association for their Push-Up Challenge. They challenge people to complete 2,000 push-ups from February 1 to 23 to represent the 20% of Canadians that will experience a mental health related illness each year. The businesses we have partnered with will also be purchasing memberships to raffle off at their business to customers for every 500 push-ups I complete. Watch our social media for links to our pages, and videos of our team completing the challenge.
Finally for this month, we wanted to invite as many interested people as possible to join our team for the upcoming year to help us pull off events and programs this year. Our events and programs are what help the CLCA grow for our eventual goal of having a space of our own. As April rounds the bend, we need a few volunteers that are willing to collaborate and help coordinate our events for the 2024 year. Please reach out if you’re interested, Legacy’s greatest resource is its residents and their willingness to make the community a greater place for all.
