Saturday, December 8, 3:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Come on out December 8th to celebrate the holiday season alongside your neighbours with Mahogany’s 2nd Annual Community Parade starting at 5:00 pm.

The Parade will be approximately 1.7 km long (30-45 mins), beginning at the Divine Mercy School Parking Lot and ending on Masters Blvd. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will lead the Parade, which will also include local groups and businesses as well as some other special surprise guests. A Celebrity Guest Judge will be present to judge the Best Float!!!

Bring a toy for the *Toy Drive to the parade, where Parade walkers will come around and collect them from the spectators for the Ronald MacDonald House, providing toys to those families less fortunate this holiday season.

Mahogany Tree of Hope

Make your way down to the Beach Club after the parade from 6:30 – 7:30 pm and join your neighbours in some carolling by the fire (roasting marshmallows of course) while you watch the Mahogany Tree of Hope light up. Hot chocolate and cookies will also be provided.

Non-perishable food item or cash donation for the Calgary Interfaith Food Bank will be accepted at the Mahogany Tree of Hope, where you will also be entered in a prize draw!

Here Comes Santa Claus!

Stayed tune through What’s Up Mahogany to book your appointment at the Beach Club from 3:30 – 8:30pm for pictures with Santa, courtesy of the Mike Burton Home Team!

*Toy Drive

The holiday season is just around the corner, reminding us that many out-of-town families with sick children will call The Ronald McDonald House “home” this Christmas. Help make the holidays a little bit brighter this year for the kids and families at the Ronald McDonald House by donating an unwrapped gift at the Parade of Lights.

Due to the immune suppressed nature of the children staying at the house, they cannot accept used toys. Suitable donations include gift cards of all kinds, clothes, toiletries, travel mugs, movie passes and more. Please feel free to contact Kim or Noelle at [email protected] for more information on recommended items.
