New Trees in Our Community
You’ve asked, we’ve asked, and the City listened. Last year there were a lot of conversations about dead trees and about new trees in our community. Now we have an answer from the City, and it looks good for the future of our community.
The Urban Forestry Team will be planting approximately 180 trees in our community in 2026. Staff are currently plotting locations to ensure suitability and will be reaching out to homeowners who may have a tree planted in front of their property on public land. Homes that are suitable for tree planting will receive a document with all the information.
In the near future, you may start to see spray marked locations for the new trees. If you have any questions, you can reach out directly to the City at [email protected] or call 3-1-1.
