Spring Movie Night!
Zootopia 2! – April 17, 2026
Come and join us at the RCA for our next Dinner
& Movie event where we will be showing Zootopia 2, on April 17,
2026.
Movie starts at 6:00 pm and YYC Food Trucks
will be onsite from 4:00 pm!
Cost is $3 for members and $5 for non-members.
Cash concession: drinks and chips.
As a reminder, please be respectful of all
guests and refrain from talking and have your children remain seated during the
movie.

Spring Plant Fundraiser is back! Orders Now

Last year, thanks to everyone, we had a
successful fundraiser and are doing so again for 2026! Help support Riverbend
community beautification Spring Plant Fundraiser.

Applications Now Open!
This is a unique opportunity to promote your
business to the residents of Riverbend community and beyond. The central
location of Riverbend community ensures high shopper attendance and a great
variety of vendors participating.

Pricing: Vendors will receive a space at the Riverbend Outdoor Rink approx.
10x10ft in size. You can bring your own tables, chairs, tent, and display racks,
or you can rent a table and chairs from Riverbend Community Association

Spring Parade of Garage Sales
The spring Parade of Garage Sales will take
place on Saturday, June 13 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Registration to open at the

Slo-Pitch 18 and Up League 2026
Registration Open Now!
Registration closes May 22 at 10:00 pm
The RCA is pleased to offer a
Slo-Pitch adult league which will run from June to August 2025! You need to
purchase an RCA Membership before being able to register for this program.
Mixed slow pitch league; non-contact
(no sliding into bases and home plate is a mat); each team supplies and umpires
their own games; fun league (we do not track wins or losses for teams); each
team is provided with six or seven game balls; bases are supplied and are kept
at the diamond. Teams play six males and four females; everyone bats.
The league starts the first
Sunday in June. In June all games will be on Sundays. In July and August each
team will play once per week on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. The year-end
tournament occurring the second weekend of September.
You can only purchase one
registration per transaction.
Note: Your team captain will
collect your fee after you are registered.
Location: Holy Angel School Diamond.

We have postponed Ecstatic Dance until further
notice. Once classes resume, we will let you know.
Casino Volunteers Needed – April 19 and 20,
2026
Our casino funds support a number of things
including community engagement initiatives such as programs, events, and
various community projects such as community beautification. Funds also support
ongoing operational costs and improvements of the facilities. Volunteers are
provided with a free meal during their shift and a discount code for RCA
programs, events and memberships.

All-Season Rink Updates
Our RCA Rinks are closed. Thanks to all
volunteers for helping with the rink, even though it was a short season. See
you all next year.
RCA President Needed!
Riverbend Community Association is looking for
a volunteer President to serve and lead our Board of Directors.
You will be the association’s public voice,
support committees, and keep our neighbourhood’s priorities front and centre.
No cape required: you’ll delegate, coordinate,
and steer—people do the heavy lifting, you make sure it happens.
What you’ll actually do (high level):

Chair Board
and Association meetings and ensure agendas are prepared.
●
Recruit new
Board members and keep committees on track.
●
Represent
Riverbend in public and at partner organizations.
●
Help with
fundraising, policy oversight, and the usual grown-up stuff (signing authority
included).
Term: Two years.
This is a volunteer role; reasonable time
expectation and plenty of teammates to share the load.
