I am excited to announce that the MLCA recently achieved a major milestone: We have grown to over 1,000 memberships! In less than a year, we have added 173 memberships, which is an increase of 21%. Since many of these are family memberships, the total number of MLCA members is now over 2,600.
Here are some of the factors that have contributed to this increase:
- We issued membership cards to our members and implemented the MLCA Member Discount Program. A total of 27 local businesses now participate in the program and offer exclusive discounts to MLCA members
- We have refreshed the MLCA program offering and have developed new programs including Prancing Peanuts and Idea Lab
- We made the MLCA Hall more attractive with new flooring, drapes and paint
- We resurfaced the tennis courts and added pickleball
- We increased our social media presence and added a weekly members’ e-newsletter
- We promoted the MLCA at our bright orange MLCA Information Tent at Neighbour Day, Stampede Breakfast and Marda Gras
- We grew the number of MLCA events and the number of people who attend them

We need your support to ensure we can continue to offer the programs, events, advocacy and facilities that help make Marda Loop such a desirable place to live.

Memberships are for one year and cost: $30 Family, $20 Individual, $10 Senior and $35 Associate. Please remember, you are not automatically a member of the MLCA by living in the community – you need to buy an annual membership.
