The Glenbrook Community Association is pleased to offer a number of free clubs and groups throughout the month, taking place at the community hall. If you are interested in trying out one or more of these, please email [email protected] so we can gauge interest. Long-term participation in these programs will require purchase of a community membership.

Pickleball

It has been a wet summer, but we will continue to try playing on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings starting at 8:00 am (or 9:00 am if the weather is getting chilly). Meet at the outdoor sport court.

Tai Chi

We have been gathering at the hall weekly to practice a Qi Gong 18 form modified Tai Chi exercise program. The program consists of a warm-up, two sets of 18 stand-in-place exercises, and some upper body stretches to cool down with a few spontaneous laughter sessions thrown in. Combine this with some socialization and it makes for a fun time. We will be returning to our normal weekly schedule in September, meeting Tuesday mornings at 10:00 am. Come out and give it a try.

Book Club

Our next meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 17 at 7:00 pm, and we will read Revenge of the Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. How to Age Disgracefully by Claire Pooley is for October. Please reach out to confirm date and time information, especially if you are coming for the first time and in case of changes.
