Glenbrook’s March President’s Message

Hello again, Glenbrook!

March is always the month when we all look forward to spring, but Mother Nature will always have the final word on when we finally see the signs of warmer weather. Of course, this is unfortunate for those who enjoy our outdoor ice rinks, but I know we have a number of kids who are looking forward to getting back on the basketball and Padel courts.

We always have a lot going on around Glenbrook in the spring. For one, we are now accepting nominations for our two annual awards, a tradition we began last year. The first is the Glenbrook Lifetime Member Award, given to a deserving Glenbrook resident with more than 15 years of dedicated volunteer service to our community. The second is the Glenbrook Partnership Award, given to a business or group with over 10 years of contributing to life in Glenbrook. Nomination forms are available at Glenbrook Hall or by request to [email protected]. For more information, send me an email at [email protected].

Our Community Clean-up day is also approaching. As of this writing, we do not have a set date for this year, but we are asking to host the day close to the end of May.

As always, please remember that playground and school speed zones run until 9:30 PM each evening, and with the switch to daylight savings time fast approaching, our residents will be out in the community much later into the evenings. Please drive safe and be careful on our streets, and throughout your travels.

Take care,

Murray Ost

President
