Hello Glenbrook!
April brings with it not only a breath of fresh air, but a renewed energy and excitement about warmer days ahead. This month, nominations for our two annual community awards open up. The first is the Glenbrook Community Partnership Award. This award recognizes exceptional contributions made to Glenbrook by a local group or organization. The second is the Glenbrook Lifetime Member Award, which recognizes the commitment of individual community members to Glenbrook. If you know of an organization or individual you would like to nominate, reach out at Glenbrook.community@shaw.ca to obtain a nomination form. Nominations are open until Tuesday, May 20.
Get ready to put on your dancing shoes and join us for our first Spring Fling Dance! Silence In B’tween will be playing live tunes from the 80s to 90s. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just looking to have a great time with friends and neighbours, this is the perfect opportunity to connect and create lasting memories. The dance will be held at the community hall on Saturday, April 26 from 7:30 to 10:30 pm. Tickets are $20 per person or $50 per family of up to four people. Tickets can be purchased by sending an email to Glenbrook.programs@shaw.ca.
Keep an eye on the newsletter in coming months, as we are excited to share new initiatives and events designed to bring our community closer together. From our Annual Spring Cleanup to Movie in the Park, there are ample opportunities for each of us to get involved and connect with our neighbours.
Warm regards,
Kim
