Happy New Year, Glenbrook!
Thank you to everyone who came out to our Annual General Meeting in December. A huge congratulations to the winners of our Community Lifetime Member Award, Jim and Kelly Mourits. They have been volunteering in your neighbourhood longer than I have been a resident of Glenbrook. Two of the first dedicated community volunteers I met back in 1996, Jim and Kelly have been at almost every event and fundraising effort we have had since then. Thank you for your dedication to Glenbrook – we are certainly a stronger community with your help.
Watch for the return of our outdoor rink as volunteers work away at keeping the ice usable for everyone. It has been a challenging year to get the ice surfaces ready for skating given the weather, and Brad and the others have been working extra hard to get this done as quickly as possible. Thanks Brad, your efforts are noticed.
