Hello Glenbrook!

Can you believe it’s September already? This is such a lovely time of the year in Calgary. The autumn colours come out, the days are warm, and the evenings are cool and crisp. With the fall in front of us, we are excited to kick off a new season of community activities, starting off with Movie in the Park on Saturday, September 6. We will be showing The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie in the open space behind the community centre.

The following month, we have our Octoberfest community dance, featuring local music group Silence In B’tween. It’s sure to be a fun evening out! November marks the return of our wine tasting evening and, following a great reception last year, our Christmas market. Keep an eye on forthcoming newsletters for more details on all these events.

One of my favourite things to see is the Glenbrook Outdoor Sport Facility getting so much use. It is free for our residents to take advantage of. The lights are now on in the evening, and the facilities are open until 10:00 pm each night.

Finally, a friendly reminder that your 2025/26 Glenbrook Community Membership fee is now due. You can purchase the membership at any of our community events or by mailing in the form found in this newsletter along with a cheque. Membership fees play a crucial role in maintaining and improving shared community assets like the Outdoor Sports Facility. These contributions ensure that amenities remain safe, clean, and accessible for everyone, while also funding repairs, upgrades, and long-term projects that benefit the entire neighbourhood.

Take care,

Kim
