Haysboro has been so beautiful this fall…warm days, red and yellow leaves, and pumpkins on doorsteps. Our lawn and snow coordinator has wrapped up the lawn care program and is now starting to take names for snow care! This morning, we woke up to the first snowfall of the year so it is just in time! If you are interested in having your snow taken care of this winter or if you are interested in having a part-time job shoveling snow, please email Morgan at [email protected].
The hall is getting back to a new normal. The building still must be closed to the public by law (until the city tells us we are allowed to be open), but we are open to programs and renters. I spend my mornings listening to little, excited voices coming up from the preschool and the calm voice of Julie teaching Tai Chi on Tuesdays and Fridays. My afternoons are filled with piano tunes coming through the pipes from the music room (I love it!). Sunday mornings have little feet running in the hall with Sportball. Tuesdays AllStar Safety is back in the Boardroom (formerly the Millennium Room) teaching safety classes. Karate is back teaching in the hall twice a week, and we have new renters for evenings in the hall for gymnastics. Engineering for Kids and Dance programs will hopefully be started by the time this Horn is published. We have renters for baby showers and birthday parties, seminars, and book clubs. The building feels sad when it’s empty. We sorely miss our bridge clubs and seniors’ groups and hope to see them soon!
We are having another bottle drop on November 28. Please drop your bottles at the hall between 10:00 am and noon, or contact the office if you need a pickup. Every returnable helps! The funds are used to help keep our HCA running. Thank you to all the volunteers that help out!
Please watch the website end email for upcoming events and more returning programs. Hope to see you all soon!
