Fall Colours
The message in the Horn this month will come after we have hosted our AGM on September 25. Those present at the AGM will have noted that the HCA has a healthy cash position, but will be running a deficit budget this year. This is the result primarily of the loss of revenue due to the pandemic facility closures. Even so, we want to ensure we can continue to meet our vision of a friendly, safe, and vibrant community of active and engaged residents.
As a volunteer board, consisting mainly of young, working families, we know the importance of balance. We want to ensure we balance the resources we have at the HCA with what we can bring to the community this year. An example of something we can do presently was our September bottle drive and member event. What a great day to spend with our community neighbours. We are indebted to those who help organize these kinds of events, and offer their expertise, time, and resources to make the HCA function. Without them, we would not have events like these.
If you are interested in any upcoming events or current programming available at the hall, please check out the website at haysboro.org. We will continue to strive to bring you thoughtful social and recreational programming this year.
P.S. If you are interested in helping the HCA, please contact Diane at [email protected]. She will pass your information along.
