New KGCA President
Hello! My name is Alan, and I would like to introduce myself as the new President of the Killarney-Glengarry Community Association. I am a young and motivated single father to a beautiful 5-year-old boy, Charlie. Having lived in Calgary most of my life, I recently moved to Killarney in early 2020 and immediately wanted to be involved in this wonderful community.
For the rest of 2020 and into 2021, I am focusing on re-starting the community, by reopening the hall and programs safely, and getting the winter rink set up and going (volunteers needed!).
The hall is now open again, and we are already filling up with events andweddings for the fall and winter! We are planning to schedule 3 to 4 bigger community events in 2021, and I would value your suggestions on your favourite holidays and times of the year! Be sure to get your membership to the Association so you can attend these events for free and get discounts on hall rentals and at your local businesses in the community.
