Hello Neighbours,
Heading into spring, I’m sure that I am not the only one looking forward to warm weather, gardening, patios, and many more hours of sunshine. Following the success we had last year, the KCA is once again holding a Spring Flower Fundraiser this year. We will have a variety of flowers, herbs, veggies, and planters available with all proceeds going to support your local community association. Personally, my favourite purchase last year was the herb pack which brightened up all my summer meals, but we heard amazing reviews of plant quality all around! If anyone is interested in our homemade ranch recipe, let me know and we will happily share! Details for the plant sale will be found on our social media and website when we have confirmed dates.
We are still looking for a new Casino Coordinator who will be responsible for planning and organizing our biggest fundraiser. This includes recruiting volunteers, working with AGLC, and reporting back to the board with casino updates. If you’ve been waiting for an opportunity to join the board, we also have an opening in the Vice President position. The VP role is unique because you really have the opportunity to take the role in any direction you’d like. If you have interest in a specific project or new initiative, let’s talk! Finally, with our new Social Director, Nik, officially on the board, we’re aiming to ramp up our social events calendar and our social committee. We are excited to collaborate with our neighbours to create valuable and fun opportunities to connect with community through social events, art projects, and more.
