Looking to Get Involved in Your Community? Well Look No Further!
The Marda Loop Communities Association (MLCA) is holding their annual AGM at 7:00 pm on Monday, October 17, 2022, at the MLCA hall (3130 16 St SW). Registered community members are welcome to attend.
In anticipation of this meeting, the Board is looking ahead to filling the vacant Board positions. Serving on the MLCA Board is a great way to give back to your community, engage with the residents, make some friends, and participate in a variety of events.
The Board meets once a month at the MLCA hall, and Board members each chair a committee dedicated to a specific area of interest. The work is not arduous, but there is a moderate time-commitment that varies depending on the position and time of year. The Board seats that are currently vacant are: Planning and Development, Volunteers, and Marketing. However, there may be some shifting of roles once the new Board is formed at the AGM, so different positions may become vacant.

Should you have a particular interest in one of the positions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us since it is not uncommon for Board members to take on different roles depending on interest, skill set, and need.
Any interested registered community members should reach out to the MLCA President or Vice-President in order to set up a short meeting to discuss the specifics prior to the AGM in October.

If you are interested in getting involved but feel that a Board position is more than you are able to take on, consider the following two options:
- Joining one of the committees in the area that interests you. This can get you involved without any Board responsibility. To do this, please contact the applicable Board chair. Those email addresses can be found on the ‘Contact’ page at www.mardaloop.com.
- Joining our volunteer list. This would allow us to contact you when we need a hand running some of our events throughout the year. To do this, please contact [email protected] and we will add you to our list.
