Given that we still seem to be held in winter’s icy grip, it’s hard to believe that it’s time to register for summer day camps! Registration for the community association’s camps will begin on February 15 through the community association website. Go to www.ngpca.ca.
The community association began offering summer day camps back in 2016 with just three weeks of camps and a limited number of participants. Since then, the camps have grown to be our most popular program. Last year, we offered eight weeks of full-time multi-sport and activity day camps to more than 200 community kids aged 6 to 12. This year we’re adding an art camp.
The camps take advantage of the community center’s gym and surrounding green space, bike trails, and other recreation facilities in the community, including the Glenmore Aquatic Centre. The feedback from campers and parents has consistently been overwhelmingly positive. We’re already looking forward to another fun and active summer at the community centre!
