Community Clean-Up

We held our Community Clean-Up on June 2, and, as usual, it was a smashing success, literally, as anyone watching the garbage trucks compacting a load can attest. Thanks to all our volunteers for helping out, and to the community for participating, but also being patient with the sometimes-long lineups down Palliser Dr, as we attempted to keep the Nellie McClung parking lot safe for all.

Another Busy Summer at the Hall

The Community Association board will be taking a break for the summer, but the activities never cease. Our Hall is busy all year round. This year, we will be hosting Pedalheads, Young Rembrandts, Kids Yoga Camp, and Seniors Yoga during July and August. Please have a look at the website for scheduling at www.pbpcommunity.ca.

Community Development and Engagement

The City of Calgary runs a website specifically for engagement on local projects and initiatives. Have your say at: https://engage.calgary.ca. Two projects that had been open for engagement in South Glenmore Park are the Quinterra Legacy Graden, a music garden near the children’s park, and the South Glenmore Bike Park, which is a proposed bike skills park. Current engagement projects include bus route planning, and planning for the next 20 years of civic development. Contact us if you require any further information on community projects and we will attempt to put you in touch with City resources.

Regards,

Jay Nelson
