Greetings,
We are pleased to offer several programs and events to our community members over the next couple of months. First, our annual community cleanup day is now scheduled for May 18 in the parking lot of Westside King’s Church on 69 Street SW. Once again this is a collaborative event co-hosted by three community associations: Signal Hill, Discovery Ridge, as well as our Springbank Hill community. This is a great opportunity to dispose of larger items and avoid the usual trip to the landfill site. Further details provided in this newsletter.
Second, the city sponsored Neighbour Day events will take place on June 15. We are planning an event at our community park on 26 Avenue SW. Further details will be provided at a later date. We are currently looking for volunteers to help us with the planning and execution of this event.
Third, we are pleased to announce that our annual weekly mobile farm stand program will commence on June 15 and every week thereafter. This year our farm stand host will be FreshPal Farms, and the stand will be located at the front of the Valleyview Church property on 26 Avenue SW.
